Hyderabad: GHMC Issues Show Cause Notice to Allu Aravind for Unauthorised Construction
GHMC issues notice to Allu Aravind for illegal construction at Allu Business Park in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, citing violation of approved building plans. Demolition action may follow.
Hyderabad, September 9, 2025 – The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has taken action against prominent film producer Allu Aravind, issuing a show cause notice for alleged unauthorised construction at his commercial complex, Allu Business Park, located at Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills.
🏢 Background of Allu Business Park
The Allu Business Park, built on a 1,226-square-yard plot, serves as the headquarters for several business ventures including Geetha Arts and Allu Arts. The building was constructed as part of Allu Aravind’s project in November 2023, initiated to mark the 101st birth anniversary of veteran actor Allu Ramalingaiah.
🚨 Details of Violation
According to GHMC, the original approved plan permitted a structure consisting of two cellars and a G+4 floors building. However, during a recent inspection, GHMC officials discovered an additional construction on the fourth floor that lacked prior approval from the civic authorities.
Based on these findings, Circle-18 Deputy Municipal Commissioner Sammayya ordered a detailed inspection of the site. Following the inquiry, the GHMC issued a formal notice to Allu Aravind, directing him to submit a valid explanation as to why the unauthorized portion should not be demolished.
⚡ What’s Next?
Allu Aravind is expected to respond to the GHMC notice within the stipulated period. In the absence of a satisfactory reply, the civic body may initiate demolition of the illegal construction.
📊 Wider Implications
This case highlights GHMC’s strict enforcement of building regulations amid Hyderabad’s rapid urban expansion. All property developers and high-profile figures are reminded to adhere to municipal building guidelines to avoid such legal complications.
